although i have passed down this street many times, i have never taken a walk around this neighbourhood.
the skies were a perfect blue and with time on my hands and camera in my bag, i took a stroll into this surprisingly quiet corner. it is made up of a series of buildings, old and simple in style -surrounded by large green areas and mature trees. after reading up on this neighbourhood i understand that it was the first modern agricultural settlement in the country.
this peaceful place gave me a wonderful lift in the morning and the surprise of such nature in the middle of the city was quite magical!

an art-class in the morning.....wonderful!
This combination of finding something new and exploring its many facettes is something very mind-lifting to me!You really experience these new things!
And it's always amazing to me that houses can be moved in the way they show (on wikipedia). I see myself following the treck and collect all the fallen down bricks ;)
i love how much lawn there is...running right up to the buildings. the sense of calm is so apparent from your pictures so it must have been a true joy to wander round those streets in real life. and the trees? wow...you must have fallen for a few of those right? xxx
what a charming neighborhood. nature in the city is so calming. glad you enjoyed your morning. xox
What an amazing place, and that tree is spectacular.
Wow. You've taught me a thing or two there, Julie. Had heard about the buildings being moved but didn't know where exactly. Very interesting. Thanks!
we should all walk around more, no??
moving a building seems like such a ginormous task!
sounds like a nice walk...i love discovering new streets and building in my city too...there is always something new to see!
what an oasis! it's wonderful to steer off your usual path and discover new things
tel aviv must be such a great place ... love reading about your art classes :)
I love taking these walks with you, how wonderful that so many trees are protected and they are such an important part of the landscape. This photo with the yellow door fascinates me...
