this is how my morning began.. on my way to my art class. the sun is still shining over here while i see snow has already arrived in other parts.
these were my finds on the way home :) .
these views make me smile.
today was all about 'greys'. until now we have been looking at black and white - light and shadow. today we worked on the greys inbetween starting off with a scale of 10 going from the lightest to the darkest.
the teacher set up this thrilling set with the fabric draped over the easels and a light fixed underneath. these exercises are not the most exciting but they certainly get the message across.
i love the atmosphere in the room. there are trees at all the windows and the light filters in.
wonderful and sculptural!!

Oh, that light!
I look forward to your Tuesdays postings now! Glad to see it was another successful class.
what a difference between the still summer-ish light you walked in and the shades of grey you painted and which I also see, now that snow is outside (Shari's photo is amazing).
I LOVE the happy buckets! A superbe shot! Could you imagine the workers rattle down there ;)
one year in drawing class i made a tent city and had my students sit inside it :) w/ lights.
sometimes it's hard to make the fundamentals more fun.... but.
i love hearing about your progress
loving your photo finds as always...your skies are such a perfect backdrop for the quirky subjects! brilliant art class subject too : )
what great images...love the last shot - interesting plants!
I´d rather have warm weather than snow ;)
that top image-installation is so good.
Enjoying hearing your drawing progress... I, for one, always struggle with achieving subtle tonal gradations. Happy drawing!
Amazing pieces of nature, love the last two (you have such a great eye). The first photo is so interesting! Thank you for sharing your art classes with us.
The first picture is just GREAT! I love it. Thanks for your comments!
